The birthplace of the Original Freezo

In the early 2000s at the southern tip of Africa, the Freezochino was born. South Africa, known for its diverse and cosmopolitan coffee-loving population and its sophisticated European style café culture, developed a craving for a premium blended iced coffee.

Fast forward to 2018, two South African immigrants who had recently made Canada their new home embarked on a mission to introduce the Freezochino to North American shores. Their journey was motivated by a simple question: why should blended iced coffee only be reserved for occasional indulgence, resembling a dessert, rather than an everyday, refreshing alternative to the beloved hot coffee? This naturally flavored blended iced coffee, exhibiting a perfectly balanced sweetness and lower calorie content, is now crafted in North America and has set a new standard for cold coffee enthusiasts everywhere.

The evolution of freezo

Freezo was initially only intended to be a food service product, where it quickly gained popularity in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

In 2020, during the Covid pandemic and widespread lockdowns, the idea to test the market with a make-at-home Freezo product emerged.

While iced coffee is a cultural staple in North America, the available options have been calorie-packed, overly sweet, and watered down. Freezo has revolutionized the landscape.

Today Freezo is an iced coffee staple, and continues to grow in popularity worldwide as cold coffee beverages become ever more popular daily.
